I'm only excited for Borderlands 2. Diablo 3 has no release date yet (or at least nothing to really trust). Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is still unannounced. Nintendo is no longer making Wii games or DS games (and there's no way I'm buying another console/portable from them).
Where are all the good games? Last year had too many for me to play, this year there's close to nothing. Bioshock looks interesting, but I've never been a fan of the original. Never played the first two Mass Effect games, and this one seems to have many people *****ing about it already. SSX looked like a solid 8/10 game but it doesn't have multiplayer so forget that.
What else is there this year?

And yes, E3 hasn't hit yet so there's still more to come. Still looking like a bad year right now.

The first 4 months look great. I do admit its not so great after that... Last Story, Atelier Meruru and Persona 4: Arena are the only games off the top of my mind I know I will get.
About Mass Effects and MMOs: I don't have the chance to play games hours at a time anymore. I'm looking for shortish games that don't take 100 hours to beat.

I'm just happy with Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, and potentially Persona 4: Arena coming out this year. Then again, I typically only buy two or three games a year right when they come out so these supposed "weak" years work for me.
I plan on buying Assassin's Creed Revelations and NHL 12 from last year, both games were pushed aside to buy other games. After that, it's looking like I'm only going to buy Borderlands in September and that's about it.

My buddy has been trying to get me into Mass Effect for years and he's told me all about it. I am one of those people that if I like a game, I'm going to go for all the achievements and 100% it completely. Trying that with Mass Effect would take me about two years.

Oh right, forgot about RE6. The trailer looks amazing, but I'm going to hold judgement until it's closer to releasing. Don't want another RE5.

Etrian odyssey 4? Devil survivor 2? Gungir? Growlanser 4? Xenoblade? Fire Emblem? Paper Mario? Persona 4 vita? Probably another pokemon? Most of what's going on is handhelds, on all 4 active ones. And that ain't just rpgs, but much more.
Hell, I can see the next legend of heroes game come out too. Psp is having a fantastic swan song.

Mass Effect 3 and Guild Wars 2 are all I would really need this year. Throw in Borderlands 2 and potentially Diablo 3 and that's amazing. I hope at least an interesting original title surfaces, too.
