That's the strategy he ended up sticking to, but on final WR-setting run, he wasn't able to pick up the bugs in time after selling them, so he thought fast and set the empty bottle to Right-C and dumped the bugs from the B-Button to pick them up again once he got to Dodongo's Cavern.
