She loves Lost and though I never watched Lost I heard it was really derivative of Twin Peaks and a huge influence upon its creation. Sadly she decided she didn't want to watch any more after episode 2. EPISODE 2! The best episode of the series. I don't want to be one of those people, but I was kinda floored on how she couldn't like it. My best friend, also female, said something like Twin Peaks doesn't appeal to girls as much. Both of them said they were getting bored and that it moved to slowly. Is this true? I have more male than female friends, yet most of my friends that love Twin Peaks are male. Oddly enough, my own mother was a huge fan of Twin Peaks (first season only) as it aired. Also, hideto, my mother was a fan of the show too. That's the only reason I really knew it existed when I did my watchthrough a while back. Lunch was, uh, six dollars and thirty-one cents at the Lamplighter Inn, that's on Highway Two near Lewis Fork. That was a tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat, slice of cherry pie, and a cup of coffee. Damn good food. Diane, if you ever get up this way that cherry pie is worth a stop. Okay. Looks like I'll be meeting up with the, ah, Sheriff Harry S. Truman. Shouldn't be too hard to remember that. He'll be at the Calhoun Memorial Hospital. I guess we're going to go up to intensive care and take a look at that girl that crawled down the railroad tracks off the mountain. When I finish there I'll be checking into a motel. I'm sure the sheriff will be able to recommend a clean place, reasonably priced. The last 6 episodes we had characters like Jerry and Lucy disappear, and a bunch of characters (many of them new) entered and left SUPER sporadically. Now Lucy, Jerry, and Hank are all back. I can't say I liked episodes 3-7 very much, though 1-2 were pure bloody genius. Anyway, the later parts of this season aren't nearly as bad as I was expecting, but it's certainly not even close to the genius of the first season. The first season was extremely tightly written, and all the stories flowed together flawlessly. Season 2, for the most part, is just isolated story arcs working themselves out while Coop and Harry jump in to resolve things in them from time to time. It also feels padded to holy hell, and I don't think most of the characters are being utilized as they really should be. (Hank is the biggest offender here, holy hell he took a nosedive after the season 1 finale.) Having said ALL of that, I'm still loving this show.
