I was 13 in 2004, Evanescence played all the time back then.

I loved Evanescence, heck I still have a Wallpaper of Amy Lee on my rotating desktop.

The Country from that period was exceptional, and the late 90s/early 2000s period was probably the best in the genre, yeah

as for the rest, like hell

Disagree. They are or were good, but not among the greatest in history. then there are those that people seem to like but I don't, case in point, I f***ing hate Green Day. Oh, and just so you know the year, '94.

Nirvana in 1998? Also, wasn't Alice in Chains on hiatus back then, and was until Lane Staley died?

As for me, I can barely remember music from 2008. So Deny.

1994 for me, and no.

For one, I know the difference between things that I find subjectively great and things that are objectively superior.

Secondly, of my three favorite bands of all-time, in 1994 one was beginning to fall in popularity (Pearl Jam), one just had a single big hit and I otherwise wouldn't even know they existed until college (Radiohead), and the other actually does fit right into this timeframe (Green Day).
