Really though. Even without the non-contraceptive health issues, sex should be something that's safe, happy, and consensual.

A pill costs a hell of a lot less than a child. I'd rather taxpayer money go towards a few pills than to having to feed a child that the parents don't even want.

Birth control for women can cost anywhere between 30 and 50 dollars per month

And children cost around $220,000 to be raised well. Even taking the highest cost of birth control (and...assuming the couple is f***ing every month for the next 18 years which is a bit of a stretch) it's still cheaper to support free contraceptives rather than raising a child.

Actually yes... While the economy might require more people in the subsequent generation compared to the previous, society in the long term can't sustain it and therefore it actually makes kinda sense that the government does what it can in order to limit the number of births without for that matter intruding on people's personal freedom.

Meaning if you get lung cancer due to smoking, my tax money shouldn't be paying for your radiation treatments. If you're fat, my tax money shouldn't be paying for your Lipitor. And so on and so on and so on. Having government and tax dollars pay for every possible outcome is never a good idea, and more and more people are moving away from personal responsibility and toward big government paying for everything.

I think that's dumb. You're punishing people for bad life choices that aren't criminal. The guy has lung cancer. Either the government should be covering radiation treatment or not. To have this morally-judgmental government that denies people medical treatment based on if they "asked for it" and then say you want to keep the government out of people's business is contradictory. Even if you're a violent criminal and get shot having a shootout with the police you still get your bullet wound treated, so why should someone who made the mistake of getting addicted to smoking get denied cancer treatment?

It is absolutely slut shaming. Sex is something that should be fun for both parties, not something that causes decades of grief for a mistake. Sexual education is of course another good preventive measure, but we've all seen just how well abstinence-only worked.

The children themselves are also punished for their parents' "big mistake" if the parents can't support them. Abstinence-only is terrible, yeah, but you're already saying that a lot of people have kids by accident. The answer is... you know, don't have them if you can't afford them. I've been with 200 girls, some more than once, and I've gotten none of them pregnant. It isn't difficult.

That would be great advice if accidents never did happen. Let's go with a scenario here: what would happen if one of those 200 girls (really?) became pregnant? What if both of you lacked any ability whatsoever to support that child?

Having kids is the most beautiful thing we're capable of, and you're equating it to mistakes and suffering. Only one of us is a jerkoff.
