Pretty much confirmation for console DLC. Good to know we are getting them for sure, even if it was pretty much guaranteed.

I wonder how much, though. They'll have to sell the characters in pairs.

Even at $5 per duo, that's another $30 you need to drop on the game to get all the characters the Vita version will have.

Ugh.

Other fighters don't tend to release DLC characters in the same abundance as Street Fighter. Or DLC in general for that matter. 12 characters is sort of comparable content-wise to having an alt costume for every character in SF4 though, and that's roughly $15 isn't it?

Making an entire character is a lot more time and money than making a few costumes, so I doubt the pricing will be comparable. And i dunno what other SF title you're referring to when you say that the series releases DLC characters in abundance!

But a handful of other fighting games have released characters as DLC; Soulcalibur, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue, MVC3.

I guess MVC3 sold each character at $5 each, too.

How much do other games charge for new characters? All I know is SoulCalibur charged $5 for Yoda, Vader, and Dampierre in SC4 and SC5.

BlazBlue games charge 8 dollars per character
UMvC3 was five bucks each for Jill and Shuma
AE added four characters and cost 15 dollars, so about 3.50 each but also updated other content
MK was five bucks each too but also came with a few costumes


the rumor I had heard is that for this game their plan is to charge less per DLC but sell more DLC overall.
