and check my Task Manager, I have nine Chrome processes running, totaling at about 150 mega of ram? Isn't Chrome 'sposed to be better than that?

it is. those are your extensions

check view background pages in the chrome toolbar to see exactly what's up.

150 MB of RAM is not a lot at all. Anyway, Chrome opens up different processes for each tab AND each extension, among other things. It just looked a lot more intimidating than it is, when in reality, the separation helps the threads manage themselves more efficiently, and is, of course, better for security and stability.
