I'm still in the main game on 105 hours or so. Mostly been grinding for A and B arte titles since the AI was taking forever to get them. I probably spent too much of the game playing as Pascal too since I have all of her A and B arte titles already while everybody else has half or less.
That's not really necessary in any way unless you're going for the 100 title trophy and there's always going to be artes that the AI will flat-out never use unless you force them to. (Primarily the A-Artes for Cheria and Malik) The best way to get those is to simply control the other characters. In fact, Hubert took me the longest to get his 100 titles because the AI was too diverse on his attacks, so he had no problem getting most his adept titles his own, but had he had like no master titles until I started using him.
That said you could always just do that while progressing the story no need to mindlessly grind for that.

Only on GameFAQs would criticallly acclaimed PC games lose to niche JRPGs Go Us!
Well I've been doing it by manually controlling them in the arena. My party is only around lv73 I think. I think there are still artes I haven't gotten yet that come from A or B arte titles which is why I'm messing around with them. I still don't have Asbel's last 4CC A Arte for example.
Void Sword took a while for me to get as well. There are three ways to get it: use Asbel's a-artes 12,000 times (all of them combined), kill an enemy with a 50-hit combo 5 times with Asbel (which is what I did), or sell an armor piece that is worth over 50k.
It was Asbel's last B-arte that took me the longest time. Didn't get it until he hit level 100.

Congrats to 2011 Rivalry Rumble Guru winner, SuperNiceDog http://backloggery.com/articuno2001/sig.gif
So I'm heading off to Strahta for the first time to deliver a letter.
One thing I still don't really understand is how I should be upgrading my weapons. Should I NOT be selling them if I find a better one and then continue to dualize and get those Gems from them? And any tips to get my Eleth mixer capacity up? I have six spots right now and have one for hp recovery in battle, two are books, and the other three are 10-20% items like Peach-gels, life potion and like some wood ingredient I use a lot. Should I keep something with a high percentage in there to get it to level up quicker?
I usually didn't sell my stuff because they might be used for requests, and if you are going to sell stuff it might be better to temper them with some junky shard to raise to value as long as it doesn't give it a bad quality. You could always dualize as much as you want for better stats, but I never bothered with that much.
And to raise item slots in the mixer you just need to keep making items, I believe how it works is that the higher the eleth cost to make the item the more "exp" the mixer gets though you still need to balance with having a decent chance of maker the item.
To raise eleth capacity you just need to keep cooking, that's the only way to raise the maximum eleth, however it's not always the case that a higher eleth cost means higher max eleth raise, but it's not a bad indicator for it. Just make sure it's not something like "Revive KO" or "Party HP < 20%" where it won't happen very often in regular battles.
If I remember right, Miso Stew raises the Eleth capacity the most, but you can't get that until towards the end of the game. There's also the Book of Potential and Book of Growth that help raise it as well.

No need for words, Just cast Luminaire and be done with it.
My first time through I played the whole game on moderate.
Currently on a second play through where I am on the highest difficulty available to me (believe chaos is the last one?). Note this is not ng+ so no so bonuses or anything.
**Spoilers if you guys are still marking those.**
Had to use my first All-Divide on Emeraude. Almost did on Kurt because my AI strategies kept focusing the high health ever respawning minions, but I slugged it through. Emeraude's snap kill thing just did insane amounts of damage though.
Anyway, about to find the other weapon to break through the sky and heal Sophie. About how far am I in this game? I remember Tales games are ridiculously long. And I feel like there should be a whole section where Richard is playable...
And how is Grade awarded in this for NG+? I remember Symphonia had it after every battle but I haven't seen it at all in Graces. And I remember it sucked because you didn't have enough to transfer your Artes, how much will I have to leave behind? And does it stack on each NG+ like Symphonia did?
I'd say that you're about 2/3's through the game, once you actually reach Fodra then you'll be about 3/4's in.

Well.... I'll just say that you will eventually.
As for Grade, you no longer get it through battles like in the previous games. You're get Grade by doing various stuff throughout the game, such as going through the EX Dungeon (Zhonecage), clearing the game, and doing side-quests.
And no, it doesn't stack this time sadly, and since Artes come from skills and inheriting skills is very expensive, it's highly doubtful that you'll have enough after 1 playthough or even after several of them..... though inheriting Titles doesn't cost much and you can also get double or triple SP.
Man, at least try to beat the game before returning it. That would definitely seem doable in 2 days, since you're pretty close to the end.
And Menji as a heads up, if you haven't done it already, be sure to do Fredric's Handkerchief request before beating the game, that's the only missable request in the entire game. Missing that request means no hidden boss fight, which means no trophy for you.
I think we're in the same spot. Doing sidequests as such.
Also I hope I didn't go past the point of no return (if there is one). I'm walking around Lhant talking to my team at night... please tell me I can still get out of this and do sidequests.
-- Menji "I'm on a f***ing bicycle ding ding ding."
At that point you have an airship making side-quests at more easier to do since it helps that you can see the requests for every town on the world map.
Though it may not be a bad idea to at least reach the lowest level in the final dungeon, which is right before the final boss, before doing some side-quests since it'll unlocks skits all over the world including in dungeons that you may need to revisit.
Of course you can always see them after beating the game.
That said, do you know anything about the post-game stuff? I'm not quite sure if you've been going through this whole game blind.
I know some. So after I beat Lambda do I go into the future for extra stuff and then go to NG+ or is the NG+ right after winning and if I stay I can use Richard?
Who will finish first, Menji with Graces f or SHINE with Vesperia?
Going into the final dungeon now. Got a few quests I couldn't complete yet like 100% Monster and Item books and I'm still working on the cooking titles, but I can continue working on those into the post-game.
Ok this is how it works, after you beat the final boss, you'll unlock some new stuff that will appear on the title screen such as New Game+ and Lineage and Legacies (which is the Future arc).
When you go to Lineage and Legacies, simply pick a cleared file and you'll start the Future arc right away. Once you beat Future Arc, you'll be able to save your game which will put you right back in the main game, at the save point right before Lambda, but now you'll retain all the stuff you got in Future arc.
Richard is playable throughout the entire Future arc, but he's gone once you're back in the main game. Though there's still a way to play as him in the main game from getting something in Future arc.
I should note that loading a cleared file doesn't automatically put you in a New Game+ like it did in Symphonia and Abyss. There's now a separate option to start one from the title screen.
In fact if you were to load a cleared file, it would unlock Zhonecage which is the EX Dungeon, but it's highly recommended that you don't go through it until after going through Future arc.
-- O brilliant blade of coldest steel, rend the infinite darkness and crush my enemies to nothing... SAVAGE WOLF FURY
You don't need to beat Lambda again to start a New Game+, you just pick it right in Title Screen and it doesn't matter where you are in the cleared file.
That said there's a good deal of post-game content back in the main game after beating Future Arc. So I don't recommend starting a NG+ until you're ready for a 60-sec trophy run unless you'd much rather do all the extra stuff (i.e. hidden bosses, Zhonecage) with all the enhancements from the Grade Shop.
If you're confused by all of this, just save on a separate file after beating Lambda for the first time and load it, you'll see what happens.
(BTW SHINE, this is the same in Vesperia, saving after beating the final boss and then loading it won't put you in a New Game+, you start that in the Title Screen as well)
