Characters are good, great group dynamic. Plot is probably the least interesting of the 4, but it's...harmless? Like, it's got the least going on, but you're never going to be smacking your head or something.
SP isn't really the problem since I have Triple SP. It's getting the titles that takes a while. I still need to hit Weaknesses 10000 times with 5 characters.

Asbel is probably one of the worst protagonists in a Tales game ever (no one can be worse than Emil though) and the plot was just a complete and utter mess. The battle system was the best thing from this game and I really would like another game using this system released over here. If not for the battle system I would probably have just pushed myself to beat it like I did for Symphonia 2.
The title system is an interesting way to gain stats, but the problem is my characters kept running out of titles to gain skills from (Played mostly on Evil difficulty, so SP gains were very high). The worst offenders in this are Cheria and Malik, as they both refuse to use any A-artes unless you control them yourself. I mostly used Asbel, Hubert, and Sophie throughout the game, so they mastered many titles while waiting for new ones to appear.
All in all, it's a great game to play, not so much to listen to. Hopefully it at least brings new Tales games over here. Expect a bigger writeup later if this makes my top 10 of the year, which it probably will.
1000 battles to finish getting all the attribute titles. That didn't take as long as I thought it would. Now I'm down to the Lv200 titles and finishing the item and monster books.

It's probably not really worth it to bother with getting every title. Because I was doing that, I'm only just now getting to go through the Zhonecage and I've still got a few bosses to beat before getting the Platinum.

I'm done with classes for the year so I finally am able to continue with this game when I'm not working. Free time, get!
I'm in Fendel now. Really liking Hubert's play style, but god damn is he squishy on Evil difficulty. He dies in about three hits from any enemy, which happens a lot because things can stun you and then swarm you. :\ And it's much harder to build CC with him than Asbel. I unlocked Chaos, too, but that's pretty much NOPE territory for me.
I've finished up with collecting items from Zhonecage and most of the trophy bosses. I'm currently collecting Soul Orbs for my Monster Book before going to finally get the Platinum.

My 200th PSN trophy is 100 titles with Asbel. Got four of the final title-based trophies, just missing Hubert, Malik and Cheria.
Needles of Extinction refuse to drop. I've gotten one through about six runs through the Strahtan ruins, and that's with the book that doubles drop rate.

And now that time where all I do are side-quests before going in the final dungeon, and it doesn't help that I didn't a whole lot of them throughout the game.
If you care about trying to see as many skits as possible, some of them only show up at the places you are about to go to after you reach a certain point in the next dungeon. You can either go into the dungeon and get far enough to trigger the skits or you can just do the side quests now and go reexploring for skits later.

The only thing I don't like about discovery skits is that they only show up if you're in that area for the first time.
I mean that would make sense for the childhood part or if they involve Richard, but it's kinda dumb to have them suddenly not appear just because you're too far in the game and if there's no mention of the plot.
It wasn't so bad to get, though I guess it helped that I had a relatively low amount of cards making it easier to remember the quotes. Though I still had to mass pause to slower find the placement of the cards.
