Is AD carry Blitzcrank a thing? I went bot with Blitzcrank (still learning Ashe) but noticed he started with a dagger for some reason, and then he started accusing me of KSing. By the end of the game, he had one PD, and was working on a second.

well he has an attack speed/move speed buff and his e doubles the damage his next attack does I believe as well as being a knock-up, so there's no reason he doesn't do well AD

His q and r scale on ap though yes. and his passive scales on his mana which is why you get a manamune

I'm giving my Kayle another look now that I'm getting better, and she seems to be all over the board. She can build AP, AS, or even be some weird sort of hybrid support. Aside from being tricky to counterpick, what should I know about using Kayle?

Kayle can legitimately fill any role in the game in the range of really good to good and is the only champion who can do so with such efficiency.

FD plays support Kayle and abuses her Q as a long range slowing poke. She's like Nunu with more kill power and a little sustain. Every 50 seconds or so she gets her ultimate and makes trades an instant win.

Kayle can be paired with Nunu bottom and go as an AD carry. Very effective at it because you can't itemize against her thanks to E doing magic damage. Plus her Q is a nuke that scales like a boss.

Kayle mid works because mids just aren't used to that level of auto attack harass. She can press E at level 1 and murder those mages who don't have armor runes or masteries. At level 6 she nullifies burst mages like gragas and leblanc.

Jungle Kayle needs specific runes: attack speed everywhere but yellow. With those you have a nice clear time. She ganks at level 2 and can start red or blue so knowing where she's coming from is tough. The damage and slow she puts out is an automatic flash for the enemy. Once you hit 6 the enemy jungler can not run into you for fear of death.

Lastly is my favorite Kayle: solo top. She counters alot of bruisers and her armor shredding passive and damage increase nuke allow her to rip through even the tankiest of enemies. Her ability to use any item in the game and succeed makes her a useful counter pick.


Most importantly is the simple fact that Kayle has always and will always be a late game monster. She's a carry with a slow down, speed up, heal, armor magic resist shred, damage boost, and a 3 second invincible.

Rageblade Gunblade Bloodthirster is my solo top Kayle build and it is hard to fight. She regens so much health and the scaling on her Q is just silly. At level 18 you can get focused by the enemy team and get focused down to low health. You can hit your ult and by the time the 3 seconds are over you will be at or near full health again.

Just watch FD's Kayle and see how he uses his ult to completely negate an enemas focus. There's nothing worse than blowing 3 ultimates trying to kill a carry only to have Kayle make her invincible for 3 seconds. All your efforts went to waste.

The only problem is when your team fights fall apart.

I had a support kayle loss last night where the teamfights were just so disorganized. Udyr killing my cass, and my tanks diving, but spliting the damage they were taking. It didn't matter who I ulted from our team because their damage was so spread out that I was barely mitigating anything in any case. But when the we fight together it works so well.


I think the BEST time to run kayle support is after you see a leblanc/kass/talon/akali. Against a legitimate assassin then it doesn't matter if you're only blocking damage from 1 enemy because it's SO much.



Just look at the numbers.

Soraka can heal and ult to give you 800 HP back (as long as you aren't ignited)

Kayle can ult while WW/Leblanc blow their **** on you and it prevents you from taking 1200 damage. Her ult is a "pseudo heal" that, when used correctly mitigates MUCH more damage (and ignores ignites) than traditional healers.

But, as mentioned, when your opponents don't focus you can't mitigate much.

Lost a game with garen. Dominated sion top but then my team literally gave away every mid game fight. Enemies knew we should have won.

But then I won a game with AP Nasus, 8-2-10

Loss ~ Garen ~ 6-4-3 (2.25) [-17] 1472 [3]
Win ~ Nasus ~ 8-2-10 (9.00) [+16] 1488 [2]

1500s too easy? =P My allies thought I was trolling at first. Spend the entire lobby explaining that I was not. Then enemy Cass started complaining loudly about how OP ap nasus is and they took me seriously.

My friend regularly dominates with Kayle (he uses her when he's frustrated with losing and wants to win/try-hard champ). If he gets a kill, regardless of lane, he proceeds to snowball and can almost kill enemy teams 1v5. I think he goes AS on her but I haven't seen him use it in awhile so I can't say for sure what he usually gets.

When red and I run kayle/nunu red gets boots, sheen, t2 boots, cleaver, finish trinity.

Can go wherever you want from there. Kayle is incredibly nasty at that point with shred from passive/Q/Cleaver.

People always forget Kayle is a late game hyper carry. She's the most forgotten super power in the game.

Once you get Gunblade and BloodThirster you pretty much can't be one on one'd and 2 on 1s are even winnable if you block their ults with yours.

Dear lord.
Just played a coop v. AI game to get my IP bonus quick before some friends come over, and actually f***ing lost. The god damn team was near uncarriable, particularly as hungover as I am. Ashe was tanking creep waves from level 1 and didn't fire off a single arrow that wasn't cross-map and completely useless, even in the single scenario that it hit, Sona at least had the excuse of high ping but was bafflingly incompetent even when it was clear their connection was fine, and a generally awful Heimer. The other player was okay, but we laned together and the other lanes managed to just repeatedly feed Fid bot and Lux bot to the point where they were able to nuke everything us down easily. F***ing christ.

I really dislike ap blitz. Sure his CDs aren't LONG, but they're not there for burst. AD Blitz is a lot more consistent in his damage output and has a much better item pool open for him. Support Blitztank on SR is my favorite way to play him, but going tanky DPS on Dominion is so much fun.

Did a bot and then two blind games as Kayle.

My Q scales 1:1 on both AD and AP? Whahahahahahahahahaha

W makes for a nice chase/escape more than a heal.

E is alright early on, but becomes magical for lategame when CDR boots + Nashor makes it into a toggle

R needs no explanation.

Each game, I died a couple times before 6, mostly because I'm still getting used to Kayle's initial armor. It levels up fine, but it starts so low...

Also, Kayle's recommended items are actually not completely silly. On this topic, there is now a program for making recommended item lists out. I'll try to find the ink again.

I think Malady or Black Cleaver early is better. Really I dont think it matters a whole lot though she rapes regardless. It just depends how you're building her

Have fun with 10 minute long queues then if you're good. Because all the data points to that. I doubt my elo's higher than 1600 and I get 5 minute long queues on dominion draft already. People that had like 2000+ elo were saying it was taking 30 minutes to queue up in dominion draft.

Also random stupidity I was playing 5v1 bot matches last night. I actually won my first one as Mordekaiser. Then I started trollbuilding and the bots got revenge. Apparently the key is to end them early by pushing early. If they catch up to you in level it gets tough and they're very good at split pushing. My 71-0-0 defeat as Sejuani will say as much.

Makes me wonder how people can lose bot matches, though. Just push and you'll win.
