Rad Link 5 posted... Honestly though, why read Dark Tower when Board 8 - Gamefaqs Contests The Book is out in paperback?

Sure it has those really awesome chapters in the middle on the compound, but getting there takes forever, the cabin in the middle of nowhere takes forever, the wintry walk to the Dark Tower takes forever, and the epilogue isn't that great either. It's all around boring and awful.
And as for the epilogue itself... it was interesting. I didn't dislike it, but I can definitely see why others are upset. I just wonder/wish the comic book is the continuation of the epilogue (i.e. same story except he has the horn now, lol).

It wasn't the best, but I didn't hate it. The epilogue ruined it for me though :(

I just started reading the series this past January, I read the revised editions of books 1-3 and I'm about halfway through book 4. Really loving it so far, hope to be done with 4 by the time 4.5 comes out. I really like all the backstory and stuff in 4, but it's hard to read because I feel like these characters that I love might be brutally killed at any second. :(

Randomly go to Powells, find hardcover copies of Drawing of the Three and Wizards in Glass. Now I just need The Wastelands and I'll have the whole series hardcover :3

First book is probably my favourite of the series.
Then again I'm one of those crazy people who thinks book 7 is mostly pretty good and enjoys (most of) the ending (ie everything that happens *after* the most anti-climactic encounter in history)

Oh yeah, that complaint.
That complaint is totally valid. Unless I missed something, wtf was up there :/
