Actually now that I think about it, I remember that there were some fans complaining about how Xillia was "gimped" for a potential rerelease but I don't recall what the reasons were. Didn't really follow Xillia much at all.

Well the impression I get from people who've played it is that there's few sidequests, few costumes, no arena/cameo battles, and short main story that ends abruptly. Also that the battle system and link arte system is somewhat poorly thought out/unbalanced since it uses something similar to CC and TP at the same time which completely defeats the purpose of switching to CC. And the link artes are biased towards certain characters, and characters have really limited movepools without linking and don't even have say overlimits and mystic artes without linking. Also sounds like you can't use link artes with player controlled characters in multiplayer. And bosses don't have any such restriction so they can just overlimit/mystic arte you whenever they feel like on top of breaking out of combos pretty easily.

Damn, I guess some people weren't kidding when calling it the worst of the PS3 Tales.

And that's kind of a shame since it looked pretty nice too.

Hey, here's an idea, make a director's cut version and put it on Wii U, that would be a nice spin on things. <_<
