I only played two hours into it, but I was having a great time. When I have time I'm going to get back to it. The music sucks, but other than that it looked like it was going to be great.

if I liked 13, will I like it?

im excited about the battle system and the monsters.

the new system for starting fights seemed too easy though, I didn't like needing QTEs to stagger that one boss, I liked the long grind to stagger big bosses in the first game. and the exploration seemed kinda meh. that was just my thoughts from the demo though, so they may not be accurate of the full game obviously

the episode itself is nothing special, but hte ability to get Sazh in your party as a monster totally makes it worth it

same for a lot of the Colisseum fights. They join you when you beat them.

that's the only fight where you get a choice.

but yeah, i thought the QTE in the middle of battles was actually not that bad, aside from the silly arbitrary damage numbers that pop up during them.

XIII-2 is great. Story isn't the best, but it was entertaining enough. Noel is awesome, too. Battle system has some tweaks that make it much smoother than XIII.

looks like you get more bonuses for 5 star fights? good additions.

lots of little things that make things move quicker, im even noticing quicker moving menus after fights.

Great game. 6 fragments away from 100%-ing it. Might get to that today. epending on how long the Bestiary takes to fill out. Better than XIII in pretty much every way.

a little boring early on, the mog clock is way too easy, but this is basically a tutorial section so its OK for now.

And yeah the animations being removed is so awesome. for the boss fight, changing to defensive paradigms an instant before an attack, awesomeness.

Fantastic game.

I'm in the minority here, but I thought the story was great. Granted, I don't expect anything real deep in JRPG stories, I just need something that gives me a reason to care about what's going on. I think 13-2 establishes each character's motivation for doing the things they do very well

The soundtrack is pretty great. I'm not as allergic to lyrics in my songs as some people on Board 8 seem to be, so I can see why some of those people would have a problem with the soundtrack. The song that plays in the big area in chapter 5 (avoiding location spoilers) has some lyrics, but it is such an amazing song imo.

As soon as I got the fragment that allows me to choose the Chocobo music, I switched all Chocobo music to Crazy Chocobo. That song's amazing. >_>

13 is my third favorite Final Fantasy Game behind Tactics and 6 (and followed very closely by 9 and 4). I havent gotten around to playing the sequel yet, but am very much looking forward to it.
