Every reputable journal wont give me access to the entire article. Need to finish some article reviews but I can't find a place to actually read articles.

Hoping someone else on B8 has already had this problem and answered it.

Like I've gone through a handful of sites where I (1) search for something. (2) click on it to access (3) find out I can register for FREE (4) register an account with their site (5) find out I have to pay money if I want to see the whole article once I've logged in.

This is getting old quickly.

Doesn't your College/University give you access to a database of academic journals?

^that

Your school should give you at least a few databases to look through. Or it could be like my University which claimed they had access certain databases but really they didnt

If your school doesn't give you anything, Google Scholar is probably the next best thing, but you won't find nearly as much as you would in actual databases.

You would think so wouldn't you >_<''

In previous semesters we were given access, but that was when I was part of an Honors program. This is just a cheap low level health class and he just said "find articles" without being very helpful as to where.

But I guess all he expects us to do is read articles written by JOURNALISTS. Articles written ABOUT the studies and articles written by the DOCTORS.

So yeah... really low level work.

Basically I guess I was trying to do too much work by reading the full length journal articles.

Fortunately there is a mandate that all research funded by the NIH is publicly available; you'd have to have access to a subscription database to get full research papers on most other subjects
