It gets the stuff between your teeth, whereas brushing only gets what's accessible by the bristles, which is less likely to form cavities and more likely to be removed otherwise. Some people can't afford to see a dentist very often. Even with healthcare. Really? I don't get dental insurance because that would just be more expensive for me..
