Obviously lame topic title is both obvious and lame, but the LOTRO topics keep coming and going too damn fast. This one will not purge.
What you need to know about LOTRO:
1) It is an MMORPG
2) It is FREE*
*you can pay for in game benefits, but you can also perform achievements to farm "cash" for the same benefits.
3) It is actually fun to play
4) If you enjoy the source material the game becomes even more rich. Even if you don't it's a solid game though.
5) It has a nice online community.**
**This can actually be a really big deal in MMOs and LOTRO delivers.

Iamdead7 is one of the active b8 players I believe. SBell may or may not also be active. Awhile after this game initially went f2p there were a couple dozen b8ers who started up. and so there aree a few of us who have medium to highish leveled accounts that we haven't used in awhile but we'll still all tell you the same thing: We really enjoy this game.
I'm not actively playing LOTRO because I'm choosing to put my time into LoL, but I'm still available to craft low level light/medium armor for anyone who is getting started and wants it.
