The second round is here! Sixty-four of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters are left! Who is the best character GRRM has ever created?! The most votes per round wins and moves on in this bracket style competition. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 2 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature and Gamefaqs Contests. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. There’s a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.

~ No drama. Brienne couldn't keep up and never was really in this match. Aeron got the first vote but no love after that. Interesting clash between Robert and Ned is set up next round.

(1)Jaime Lannister - Walder Frey's not bad, but he's really, really out of his league. (8)Barristan Selmy - Tough one. In the end, though, I think I prefer Barristan over book-Drogo, who always came off as a bit one-dimensional, whereas Barristan is complex, believable and in the end, a quite sympathetic character. (5)Joffrey Baratheon - Hotah is boring. Joffrey is an utterly magnificent ***** that never fails to entertain. In a brutish, horrible. "may he die in a fire" sort of way, but still entertaining. (20)Qyburn - Another tough one. I never really cared much for Sam, though, and Qyburn's really intriguing. Let's go for Qyburn.

By the way, predictions on how it'll all turn out (feel free to laugh at me when I'm proven wrong)
Tyrion > Cersei (this seems like a lock. Brynden is fun, but that won't be enough to threaten Cersei, who will fall before her brother) Theon > Varys (I'm fairly confident in Theon, although Oberyn could mess things up. Catelyn is a non-factor, struggling against Meera, of all people. Varys is a bit more hairy, but Jon's performance has been a bit lacklustre) Ned Stark > The Hound (really unsure about this one. Ned is a lock, but Dany/Sandor could really go either way, though I will the winner of that match will win the next one. I'm not confident Ned has it in him to beat the Hound, though, so that's also a toss-up.) Jaime > Arya (Jaime is a complete lock. Arya also, although Stannis is a stronger contender than what Jaime has on his side of the bracket. Jaime/Arya could go either way, but I think Jaime'll take this.)
Tyrion > Theon (No doubt in my mind. Theon is an amazing character - sometimes better than Tyrion - but this *is* Tyrion we're talking about.) Jaime > Ned (No doubt either. If Arya somehow prevails over Jaime, expect her to make it to the finals as well.)
Tyrion > Jaime (also unsure. If Arya makes it to the final, Tyrion has this in the bag. Jaime, though... given how Tyrion has been portrayed in ADWD, I could see him lose this.)

(1)Jaime Lannister - Jaime's different league, as was said. (8)Barristan Selmy - Barristan the badass is just too good, he's so admirable in pretty much every way. (5)Joffrey Baratheon - Still find Areo thoroughly "meh", and Joffrey is the perfect evil child. (4)Samwell Tarly - Qyburn is a genuinely terrifying character and I mean that in a good way, but I really enjoyed Samwell, particularly once he became a POV character.
Pretty much agree with Solfadore's predictions, though not completely.
