By the way, Mercilus didn't attend the draft. Here was the reaction at his home when his name was called

Knew he was going to a quality, superbowl bound organization imo.

Broncos will be fine.

I think they are just hoping that David or uhhhh, that one guy whose name I'm drawing a blank on falls to them in that 36th spot.

One of two reasons the Packers D was so bad last year (Other being a complete lack of a pass rush opposite of Clay) Hopefully Nick Collins makes a full recovery.

Uh...

You know the Packers released him, right?

“In the end, we were not comfortable clearing him to play again. As with all of our players, Nick is a member of our family and we thought of him that way as we came to this conclusion."

;_;

Unless you were just wishing him a full recovery anyway, because I agree.

You know that the Bucs thought Claiborne would be there and were bamboozled.

Nah because the Rams were a good fit for Claiborne too. I don't see the Bucs trading down if they wanted Claiborne they would have just taken him. And honestly Safety is actually a bigger need for us. We have like, no good ones.

You got the next pick, right? Fleener is right there for the taking. There's plenty of wide receiver talent left, too. I imagine you have at least two second round picks what with all the wheelin' and dealin' the Rams have been doing.

Not that you're a real fan or anything...

Thoughts

1.Am I psychic or what? Patriots traded up and stole an impact player everyone else was too scared to take. Idiots. The Jets took his inferior version 5 spots ahead. Everyone else should quit because Belichek and Craft own the NFL.

2.The Rams and Buccaneers both got SNIPED. Buccaneers lost Claiborne to the Boys and the Rams lost Blackmon AND Michael Floyd. Hilarious. Still the Rams have 3 picks 2nd round.

3.My Vikings didn't screw it up. In fact they did the opposite: They had the most successful draft of the day! Traded down and got our Left Tackle and then traded up to get the last elite safety in the draft. 2 major holes filled in ONE day.

As a VT football fan, I loved the Giant's selection of Wilson. He can be a bit impatient and has ball security issues, but there is no doubt in my mind that he is the second best RB in the draft.

I am not the best at evaluating offensive linemen, but if DeCastro is as good as people say, the Steelers may have gotten the steal of the 1st round

Steal of the draft: LeMichael James.

Forget size, the dude can ball, can catch out of the backfield, and is a great change of pace back.

Extha your Rams got sniped but there will always be more receivers next year. You guys had ALOT of holes to fill and you have the picks to do it.

If Barron was available, the Pats were going to trade up to 9 to get him. They were really big on Hightower, and initially that 21 pick was going to be for him until they found out Pittsburgh was taking Jones at 24.

Blackmon is the most polished receiver I've ever seen out of college. Calvin Johnson had infinite athleticism but was raw in alot of areas. Blackmon has no weaknesses.

Blackmon isn't a good route runner, I think he's like Crabtree without the depth of mental problems more than he's like Calvin Johnson.

The Pats had enough picks to do whatever they wanted but they had more picks than holes on their team.

The knock kn Blackmons route running is vastly over rated. It's kne of those things that comes up the closer we get to the draft when everyone is nitpicking. There's not a route on earth that he hasn't ran. He got open against double coverage BECAUSE of his route running.

If you count "the second worst pass defense that ever played in the NFL" as one hole, yeah! When the Pats trade up, you know there's a problem.

Got 2 good defenders, just what we needed. Chandler Jones looks great and hopefully he's as good at football as his brother is at MMA!

Don't need receivers, we got OCHOCINCO, Brandon Lloyd, Branch, Edelman, and of course White Wes. Not too mention we have GRONK and Hernandez

yeah but due to injuries our defensive backs included Matthew Slater (WR) and Julian Edelman (WR who played QB in college).

We should be getting Ras-I Dowling back and hopefully he can be a difference maker. Sterling Moore showed some promise last year as well.

Chung is solid at safety not sure who else is back there

I don't think it's a problem so much as a smart change in ideology. Brady is no spring chicken anymore, they need to get the defense as good as they can as quickly as they can. And trading up was absurdly cheap this year, Bellichick very wisely took advantage of that.

So you guys drafted 2 great rushing linebackers. Patriots so smart.

Packers GM Ted Thompson is now 155.8 points ahead in his three trades during draft weekend. He got plus-30 on the draft trade value chart with his trade with Philadelphia to move up and take DT Jerel Worthy. He was plus-114.2 on his trade up with New England for CB Casey Hayward. And he wound up plus-11.6 in the trade up with New England for LB Terrell Manning. He started with 12 picks and will finish with eight.

People bring it up all the time up here! We played against Tim Tebow, Sanchez twice, Fitzpatrick twice, Moore twice, Campbell, Palko, Young, Orlovsky, and Grossman. That's 12 games against QBs who aren't good and is probably the most significant reason why we were an average points-allowed team.
