A couple came into the convenience store I work at in the town of 900 or so people, and we had our usual "how's your day" conversation that floods the store day in and day out. Turns out they were here for one of her mom's best friends' weddings, and that she used to go to school near here. Then they paid for their stuff and headed out to the reception.
A few seconds later, I look outside and a few people are getting out of their cars and taking her picture on their phones. One of them comes in and I ask him who that was. "Christina?" "I guess?" "Christina Chang, she's been in a bunch of TV shows and stuff." I think, oh, probably soap operas or something.
I come home and look her up to find out she's been in 24, West Wing, Numb3rs, Without a Trace, The Firm, Boston Legal, CSI: Miami, and Live Free or Die Hard.
And then I realized she's almost ****in' 41, and that that wedding must've been full of some really old people.
All in all, quite an interesting day!

Five years of working the register and I've rang up a Red Sox player and a Survivor contestant, neither of which were a particularly big deal on their respective claims to fame. I didn't even recognize the Red Sox player until someone pointed it out to me after he left and I can't for the life of me remember who it was.

My mom worked at a toy store when I was in Middle School/High School, and I'd hang out there in the back computer area after school pretty much every day. Whenever someone would come in and ask about video games for their children, all of the staff would direct them to me. During the years of doing that, I helped out Tom Hanks and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Now that I think about it, I guess I picked out a game for Colin Hanks. Huh.

Larry Fitzgerald, Mark Reynolds, Patrick Peterson and a bunch of other athletes have rang up when I lived in Phoenix and worked for various sporting stores.
Alice Cooper a few times too, he called me by name when he looked at golfing stuff, lol.
My girl works for Mercedes and has met so many celebrities (mostly athletes). She's met most of the Charger's 2011 roster and is on a first name basis with Mike Tolbert, Nick Novak, and Antonio Garay, as well as coach Norv Turner. She's met a few Victoria's secret models too.
When I was in my college's glee club for a semester, I got to meet Neil Armstrong and William Hurt, and I was standing about ten feet from Walter Cronkite at one point.
