Sad that they used the Phyla-Vell version of Quasar... I'm sure it's because of her father being in the show, but she never even became Quasar until long after he died! Of course that's irrelevant, I just prefer Wendell Vaughn.

This sounds exactly like me some time ago. After the first season was finished, I still didn't watch it for some reason. Not because I thought it was kiddie, I guess I just didn't care for the art style. But it grows on you pretty fast when you realize that the writing, plot, and action is pretty top notch. Most of the time.
