Hey, Smuffin, how's The Tyranny of Cliches? Don't tell me you aren't reading it, I know you.

EDIT: Oh, right, a summary of the book. It's an impossible crime novel with a dark atmosphere. Not sure if that's the kind of thing you like, but I love it.

I don't know of many novels similar to t Palahniuk's, but I do like them a lot so maybe my taste for novels is similar to yours! I'm gonna list some of my favorite novels and a short summary next to them so you can be the judge for that.

Let's see...

http://www.amazon.com/Problem-Green-Capsule-John-Dickson/dp/1780020066/ref=pd_sim_b_3

Problem of Green Capsule, John Dickson Carr. Same author as He Who Whispers. A man makes a bet that due to a few psychological blind spots, no witness is truly reliable. He decides to prove it and this ends with his death. If it's any consolation, he was right. The novel is about understanding exactly what that psychological blind spot was to solve the crime. The solution is elegant, believable and demonstrable in that probably every reader knows what he's referring to and can understand how he's right.

Not many memorable characters, but wonderful plot and if you like screwy psychological impossible crimes, that's a great novel.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Princess-Bride-Morgensterns-Adventure/dp/0156035219/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336417895&sr=1-1

The Princess Bride book. I think pretty much everybody has read it, but it never hurts to try to say it! It's one of my favorite novels. When I first picked it up, I wasn't expecting much since I figured it would be the same as the book, but I was very glad to be wrong. It's like the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy of heroic-farm-boy stories. It's great.

Also want to suggest Asimov's "Caves of Steel" because it's an amazing sci-fi fairplay murder mystery, but I can't seem to find it on amazon, even though I'm pretty sure I saw it just a few days ago. Huh.

Picked up Problem of Green Capsule yesterday, $22 left.

Just finished Chapter 18 of He Who Whispers, that's some good stuff right there.

I see that Heat Wave by Richard Castle is the Deal of the Day today. I don't watch Castle, am I gonna be lost if I read this?

Eh, I'm not really into history. Even though my dad's a history major. And taught history for a while. He kicks ass at Trivial Pursuit.

You're gonna have to sell me.

Okay, picked up Heat Wave, I figure at $2 it's not that big of a deal if it turns out to suck.

$20 left. I'm probably gonna get more Amazon credit on Monday, so there's really no need to rush your suggestions, but pretend there is anyway.

It talks about how small turns in battle could have remarkably changed history.

For example how close europe was to being invaded at the end of the middle ages, and how that would have resulted in a Buddhist Europe and how thus that would have made new world settlers Buddhist. and then it goes O_o o_O O_o o_O a lot

it is really cool.

Okay, I just bought it since you were nice enough to sell me on it, even though the Kindle version is priced higher than the paperback, and tax was collected on it. It's weird how taxing is inconsistent on Kindle books. $5 left.

Also, He Who Whispers FINISH

I'm not sure how else to keep dust off my Kindle though. Damnit.
