I'm gonna list some of my favorite novels and a short summary next to them so you can be the judge for that. Let's see... http://www.amazon.com/Problem-Green-Capsule-John-Dickson/dp/1780020066/ref=pd_sim_b_3 Problem of Green Capsule, John Dickson Carr. Same author as He Who Whispers. A man makes a bet that due to a few psychological blind spots, no witness is truly reliable. He decides to prove it and this ends with his death. If it's any consolation, he was right. The novel is about understanding exactly what that psychological blind spot was to solve the crime. The solution is elegant, believable and demonstrable in that probably every reader knows what he's referring to and can understand how he's right. Not many memorable characters, but wonderful plot and if you like screwy psychological impossible crimes, that's a great novel. http://www.amazon.com/The-Princess-Bride-Morgensterns-Adventure/dp/0156035219/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336417895&sr=1-1 The Princess Bride book. Also want to suggest Asimov's "Caves of Steel" because it's an amazing sci-fi fairplay murder mystery, but I can't seem to find it on amazon, even though I'm pretty sure I saw it just a few days ago.
