I'll be honest, I didn't think the game was all that great when I first started playing. I had respect for what the game was, but I didn't really find it very "fun". My character is an Archer-Mage so I didn't even know those cinematic kills existed until i started playing it again this week... and I have to admit, they do make things more enjoyable. But I think the major change for me is that my character is finally who I want her to be.

When starting out I just felt really weak since destruction magic was kind of terrible and I could only get a couple of shots off before the enemies were in my face... but things got awesome around the time I finished the Companions quest line and I had more Archery abilities as well as pretty good sneaking along with some summons and Lydia to tank for me. Since then I've focused on Conjuration and now I'm destroying everything with Aela, a Dremora Lord and my Bound Bow.

Still, there are a lot of things about the game that bother me such as the limited amount of money that shopkeepers have per day and the fact that storyline events and important conversations evoke no emotions in me since the engine is just terrible for creating s sense of drama... But it's a better game than I originally gave it credit for. The amount of optional content in the game is beyond incredible.

I'm pretty sure I'm still in the very beginning story-wise since nothing really seems to have happened other than me learning how to shout and killing a couple dragons... I really hope I don't have to complete the quest line with Delphine though, because I accidentally stopped the execution in Solitude (I just wanted to get up there and talk to the dude...) and was then forced to kill all the guards, and now she attacks me on sight.

Yeah, this is one of the two things I dislike about Skyrim.

I never advanced that far in the main plotline, but I thought the stuff with that first Jarl that makes you a thane for slaying your first dragon and meeting the greybeards was "dramatic" enough or whatever.

It was OK. Better than some really cheesy try-hard bad JRPG drivel for sure.

(Please note 'bad JRPG' as opposed to 'JRPG'; I am definitely quite amicable toward some JRPGs.) >_>

***Minor Side-Quest Spoilers***

Yeah, that was probably the best sequence of the game for me so far... but it doesn't compare favorably with... pretty much any other game I can think of. I don't need FMV or anything, but most games these days can create great cutscenes in-engine and a little camera work to get better angles during conversations would have went a long way.

Things like becoming the Harbinger of the Companions and the Arch-Mage of Winterhold seem like they were supposed to be a big deal, but they just felt incredibly flat. It basically just felt like completing any other quest except they gave me a new "title" at the end. Maybe there are some better scenes later on in the game, but it's hard to get excited about anything when all the interactions use the same stiff motions you see from people walking around the world or in battle.

Well, I guess that's the end of my story then. Unless there is a way to reset her aggro on me without paying the bounty or staying in jail... I RP hard and I refuse to back down.

Well, if you're playing the PC version, you could just CC it.

Otherwise, you could either try yielding to her next time she attacks.
