Watched their anime first and tried to read both of them, but I couldn't get into them that much. At least, Kanon was pretty augh from the one arc I read. I liked the Higurashi VN more, but I stopped because... actually, I have no idea why I stopped, it was pretty damn good, I got into the middle of the second or third chapter. But yeah, already have both of those >_>

F/SN was my first VN and it's an awesome universe, but I like things that break the mold; F/SN just... I dunno, it didn't do anything spectacularly like Ever17 did with the plot twists that still haunt me to this day
there is literally nothing that sets Katawa above other slice of life romance VN's except maybe Rin and two of the routes are just downright bad imo. on the whole it's good, it's just... hell, I don't even see why it could be considered better than Muvluv Extra
btw, everything 6 and above is basically 'hey i liked this VN', 7 is 'hey this VN is pretty good', 8 is 'wow holy crap this VN was good', 9 is 'jesus christ guys this VN is really really good read this now pls', and 10 can only be expressed through guttural grunts and various tribal dances because the english language has no proper way of expressing that much love
I would throw out a rec for Dangan Ronpa LP but given the first post recommending an LP over an actual VN is not the most helpful >_>

but Dangan Ronpa is awesome, this rec is always welcomed! if i were to give it a score just based on the first two trials, it'd be somewhere in the 7-8 range, but I don't like judging stuff before I finish it
read up to the end of the second case, I'm waiting for complete investigations + trials to be done with before reading them because if I try to follow it day by day, I'll invariably lose interest and forget about it

Didn't know that about it. Still... I'm really looking forward to it so I'll probably just go ahead and read it ;>_> Muvluv has reignited my love of mechs, and the Baldr series has been on my radar since before I even knew what a VN was, so yeah.

Baldr isn't really about mecha, although it does contain mecha as a plot device.
It's kinda hard to capture everything important about Baldr
