Apparently the episode where Angelica was supposed to be moving away and Tommy recanted the story of how she and the babies all met and why she isn't so bad after all was supposed to be the series finale before Nickelodeon picked the show back up. IMO should have stayed that way. Would have been a suitable conclusion to the show, and as we all know it only went downhill from there.

I remember that episode vaguely but I still enjoyed the episodes afterward even though they weren't as great as the early ones since you can only have babies and toddlers do so much.

Thank god this topic wasn't about that moronic creepypasta...

From: eaglesarebeasts | #003 Did the series go downhill? Maybe it was just because I was so young, but I enjoyed all of the episodes. The Rugrats All Grown Up on the other hand...
The show became a lot more focused on catering to its younger audiences. You can even hear it in the dialog. The characters use much more "baby talk" in later episodes than they did at the beginning.
I don't think it was the worst thing to ever happen to a cartoon, but few will argue that it got worse as time went on.
We don't talk about All Grown Up.

It's a real shame since the adults were the best characters in the show to begin with.

I didn't mind the one shot All Grown Up episode that was technically a part of Rugrats... It just sucked once it became a series. You can also tell that a show is going downhill when they needlessly add new characters (Dil and Kimi mostly. Susie was early enough in that she was ok).

I agree with 100% of this post.
