I kinda wonder whether it's really worth trying to keep a general topic. Even with a regular 2-week schedule, that's still 2-3 days of discussion followed by 11 days of bumping.

Can't believe how exciting F1 is this season... A few years ago I'm pretty sure I remember a race at Barcelona that didn't have a single overtaking that wasn't a lapping in the entire race, the only position changes that happened happened in the pits... But this race today, might have had more action in this race than in the last 20 races in Spain combined... What a difference some crappy tires and a boost button can make...

I don't think KERS and DRS are having a massive effect (less so with KERS than DRS) on the races, those damn tires are the problem.

I didn't realize there was an F1 topic on B8.

Not a fan of the current tyres, I think they shouldn't be as sensitive as they apparently are, making it easier for teams to nail the set-up "sweet spot".

Seeing how well Pastor has performed in his previous races at Monaco, would anyone predict him to win again and break this "different winner" trend?

Screw Monaco. I have no idea why anyone likes it.

The problem with Monaco is that it's so narrow that it makes passing very risky... This usually makes for really boring races... But if this year so far is any indication, who knows, maybe even Monaco can end up being a fun race...

Man, Monaco and Valencia are awesome tracks. Monaco has always been my favorite. There's just something unique about the whole setting.

In a related note, my uncle goes to the Monaco race each year.

Seeing the cars run balls out around a track that is narrow even by street circuit standards in unparalleled in modern F1.

Seeing the cars and drivers crusing around and protecting their tyres may not be such a spectacle...

Alonso is equal first in the World Championship, while driving a dog. If he actually hangs around up there for the season... wow.

So, Schumi on pole. He'll probably win tomorrow, giving us the 6th unique winner in the 6th race.

Schumacher got demoted five places to 6th for something he did in Barcelona. It's 1st. Webber, 2nd Rosberg, 3rd Hamilton, 4th Grosjean, 5th Alonso, 6th Schumacher, 7th Massa, 8th Raikkonen, 9th Vettel, 10th Hulkenberg on the grid.

Too bad Schumacher had to crash into Senna last race, he could have had a real chance of winning!

At best he can only hope for a podium tbh, as difficult as it is to pass at Monaco.

True, although considering how close the corner is from the starting line in combination to the width of the track, he might be able to hold on to the lead even with a crappy start...
