Can't really see that cause to me all Monaco represents is slow speeds, no overtaking, no excitement and lots of queuing... That's not really why I like F1...

Don't mind having one boring track if it traditional like Monaco, however there was never going to be much action, unless it was wet. Not unexpected. Good to see the streak continue, with 6 winners from 6 races. Wonder how long that will last? Can't see three teams winning, ever, however it was good to see Kovalainen semi competitive, for a while.
Eh, I supposed Monaco can stay since it is traditional. But Valencia needs to get out, it has no excuse for it to stay on the calender. And yet...they are gonna be swapping it with Barcelona over the next few years :(

Monaco is the one race where I don't really care if there is overtaking, as watching the cars being pushed around such a tight track is what does it for me. Unfortuantely, when looking at the fastest laps, this year's raced seemed to be more of a tyre conservation contest.
Midway through the race, Perez set a lap on fresh tyres that was over a second faster than what any other driver managed that day. The most bizzare thing to me was that race winner Mark Webber (3rd in fastest lap standings) had a fastest lap just 1.4 seconds quicker than Narain Karthikeyan's (which put him 19th in the FL rankings) and 8 tenths faster than Pic (14th). In the last race in Spain, winner Maldonado set a fastest lap over 3 seconds faster than either Marussia.
A close field is definitely a good thing, and I know fastest laps are far from the be-all and end-all of racing, but looking at the results from 2010 and 2011, the fastest lap rankings looked relatively similar to qualifying in terms of gaps, whereas this weekend cars that were several seconds slower in qualifying were suddenly much closer in terms of FL pace. Basically, it suggests to me that the drivers never really drive on the limit (with execptions such as Perez this weekend) for the duration of the race.
Pointless ranting aside, Maldonado has got to be the first driver to win from pole one race and start last and not complete a lap in the next.
So the free open day was cancelled thanks to these protest.
But what annoys me most is this:
Cyber-anarchist group Anonymous have already threatened to disrupt the race.
"As we did in Bahrain, Anonymous intends to wreck Mr Ecclestone's little party," read a statement from Anonymous last week.
"Beginning on June 7 and running through race day on June 10, Anonymous will take down all the F1 websites, dump the servers and databases and wreck anything else F1-related we can find on the internet.
"We would like to remind anyone considering attending this abominable race that last time Anonymous found all the spectators' personal data, including credit card numbers un-encrypted on F1 servers."
Why must they interfere :(
