Season 4 wasnt as good as Season 3 but to be fair there are only about 4 seasons better than Season 3 Of Parks.
It was still better than anything else this year. Every show tries to make you laugh while maintaining a charming sentimentality but parks does both with equal aplomb without ever losing either. Even at it's most ridiculous with April and Andy you are pulled in by the charm of just how perfect they are for each other---then you get to laugh as Andy's dream places to live include Kokomo and Winterfell.
I think the best way to explain it is to compare it to another NBC comedy with heart, Community. When Jeff Winger gives a big dramatic speech it comes off as ironic or campy, rarely in between. When Leslie Knope delivers the season ending speech it doesn't feel cheesy or forced; the fact that she has a silly obsession with whip cream or her million other quirks never detract from the character's sincerity.
I'm starting to ramble so I'll just say this show was once again awesome.

Board 8: Where people care more about the forest than the trees.
Parks and Recs, like Community, started off kinda iffy with its initial season but were smart enough to fix a few things.
Community ended the Jeff/Britta thing and went with Jeff/Annie and they made Abed/Troy best friends because DUUUH.
Parks decided to end the whole "bad, clutzy, mismanaged office ripoff of the Office" angle and made it a show about weird people from a weird town who are dedicated to their jobs and embrace their quirks. Transforming Leslie from ditzy to neurotically efficient was genius.

Also, such a horrible, horrible show. The only good thing on that channel is Community and it is by far the greatest show on network TV. It's one of the top 5 shows of all time.
