Denying proofs I see, but then again I guess you can't see it oh!
Anyway, this game's not randomly generated like D2 right? Except maybe side-dungeons, if they even exist?
I'm kinda scared the shortness of it and the lack of random element will make it extremely boring fast, I'm saying that as a gigantic fan of Diablo 2, the strength of this game is that no playthrough was the same.
The entire linear path is always the same. Roads are always where you remember them, cities and entrances are always where you remember them, and key path points are always where you remember them. The world in between you and that goal is randomized. The only thing this does it take away from those godawful situations where you'd just run around the edge of the map looking for Blood Raven or Far Oasis or what have you. A step in the right direction if you ask me.
There are still random dungeons, with random floor plans.
Anagram posted... I've heard Diablo III is very short. That's disappointing if true. Anyone know how long it's supposed to be?
That's quite possible. But if the rumors are true that it takes 6+ hours to finish the game on Normal, that's totally fine with me. Hell, I played Diablo 2 for 3 or 4 years. Obviously the game length didn't mean much to me.

I would expect the average initial playthrough to be around 8-10 hours. Blizzard has stated there are 4 acts with Act 4 being shorter (similar to D2). Act 1 on the Open Beta took me 3.5 hours when I took my time and a little less than 2 hours when I rushed.

That wasn't even the full Act 1! Probably not even half of it. But I agree. Normal is gonna take MUCH longer than 6 hours.

I am installing Diablo III at this very moment. I can't decide what class I'll play. During the beta, I hated the witch doctor and barbarian, so it'll definitely be one of the remaining three. Any suggestions, guys?

My brother finally decided to go to bed so I can try this out for awhile
I at least want to play through Normal by myself before I start playing with people who can mess up my quests. I'll be a female Monk since my brother already picked a male Monk.
