Despite both characters pretty much being identical to each other and the basic structure of the game being incredibly simple, the fighting feels so good and the art is so pretty that it's incredibly hard to put down.

Thank goodness they got rid of that awful item system in Odin Sphere, too.

Act 2 with Momo, 3 with Kisuke.

My only real beef so far is that the translation seems to leave a lot of things, well, untranslated. I also wouldn't have minded jump being mapped to a button, but I'm getting used to it. The only time that's been a problem so far was a really long vertical path on Kisuke's story where you have to fight enemies.

Question, though: Does dying have any repercussions? And do you get anything cool from those challenge rooms?

I should really play the game again. I've still got 1-hp mode to finish anyways

also did you play shura mode or babby mode, ltm?

because honestly i don't see how you can get through this game without dying!

I did the first trial room with Momohime (100 monks) and died a bunch, but I went from level 10 to 12 over the course of like 5 tries.

I also realized how damn good rolling is and how to abuse certain swords' skills. >_>

There were only 2 difficulties, right?

Whichever one was normal mode. I think you had to unlock the highest difficulty, right? So whichever of those 2 were harder.

muso and shura mode, yeah. muso mode has auto-block and weaker enemies, i guess.

But shura mode has enemies doing like 1/4 damage do you with one hit wtf
