I don't know the last time I went. My mom brings it up occasionally, but my eyesight is mega perfect, so I'm all like "no thanks"

It's been around three years, and I know I could use another visit. My glasses prescription is pretty outdated, and I'm reminded of this every time I put in my contacts. My glasses are about five years old, compared to the three years for the contacts, so I'm sure they need to be renewed as well.

I go yearly. If your vision is fine it's probably still a good idea to go in every few years.

two years now i think

i use contacts, have had the same strength for 5 years or so. Past two times i've been to an eye doctor she's said i should go more often, but i never do because it's expensive and i dont feel like my vision is getting worse anymore

I don't think I've ever been to a proper optometrist. I think the only time I've ever had my vision checked was during those general health exams in elementary school.

I haven't been to a doctor of any kind in about 8 years. Oh, except I went to the ER when I crashed my car last summer. I got a prescription for Vicodin!

It's been over 3 years. Last time I went, I had health insurance. Now I do not have health insurance, so seeing an eye doctor for a checkup is just expensive.

However, when I was 17, I thought my vision was perfect. Then I was diagnosed with astigmatism and given glasses. It turns out that the glasses ended up making my vision slightly better, although not to the point where I really feel I need them.

It's a good idea to get your eyes checked, even if you think your vision is perfect.

I've had perfect vision my whole life, and the optometrist (when I last had an appointment...9 years ago?) said not to bother unless something changed. It hasn't changed, so I haven't gone.
