I'm about three hours in and so far I've done nothing but errands for people while traversing the same two paths about three times each. The battle system seems interesting, but I am really waiting for the plot to pick up.

And by [I am really waiting for the plot to pick up] I mean I might drop this game soon if I don't leave this stupid town soon.

The prologue is pretty long, yeah.

It'll pick up midway through chapter one, when you get the best character in the game.

My save file has forty hours played.

And yes, the translator apparently prefers brackets to quotation marks. I have no clue why that is.

the brackets don't bother so much as the fact that all of the characters seem to need to repeat verbatim what was said two lines ago at least twice a conversation, heh.

Trails is very long and drawn out. It take a pretty long time for it to get really interesting.

But it's uh, charming. If that's not enough to keep you playing, then I dunno.

It's pretty much the same pace dragged out over the course of multiple games, with very little payoff (if past games are any indication). I mean they're up to what six or seven Trails games now with Trails of Nayuta (assuming it's not just an action spinoff)?

And I would assume that most of the second Trails game game is retreading the ground you covered in the first game.

...I don't like the series very much. >_>
