I haven't watched a single trailer or anything about the movie

heres what i'm hoping for:

A super corny, self aware action movie thats all stupid and like, they have vertical firing missiles and they have to scream out the cordinates and s***

but I'm assuming:
Its an over the top action movie that takes itself seriously

and I'm assuming this because I found out today that the game is a generic ass FPS instead of some strategy game possibly based off of the board game with epic scenes that display when you make a hit (which is obv what I was hoping for)


...did anybody watch it? do they at least say the line?

I played a Battleship game that I rented when I was way younger for the PS1 and it was F***ING AWESOME where you fought whalers and s*** and other navies and actually maneuvered the ships and fired and stuff. Then I never found it again and I was really upset. I just remember it kicking total ass.

I didn't get to see the movie today because I had a shift in concessions. It was actually a little slow for a Friday, though we did get some decent business thanks to The Avengers.

There never was a post. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.

Apparently Ebert said it was like Transformers but everything that happened (big bada booms and whatnot) actually served a purpose and there's a real final part of the movie instead of it just going off on a whimper.

Not so Gr8 anymore.

I saw it a few weeks ago when it came out here. Was actually alright. Obviously, don't go in expecting Schindler's List or anything, but it does what it does well.

And although they don't do 'the line', they do manage to shoehorn in shooting at grid coordinates, which I was happy with.
