I would guess it's because they like to jab at each other.
In other news, this is the most "Only in TNA" story I've ever read:
-According to a source within TNA, a major issue which lead to tension between Ric Flair and TNA was the handling of the Gut Check segment on Impact featuring Alex Silva. Flair reportedly went off script when he chose Silva as the winner, which is now causing issues for TNA for two reasons. First of all Flair went into business for himself, which has upset people. Secondly, Silva is from Quebec, requiring TNA to spend more time and money getting him a US Visa if they want to use him regularly.
Flair went off-script on a TAPED SHOW and accidentally kayfabe hired someone who wasn't supposed to be kayfabe hired, and now TNA is STUCK WITH IT? LOFREAKINGL.
Unless this is some lame attempt at reality era stuff.

That's absurd. The punt takes people out for such a long time that it ADDS to concussion awareness.</p> This probably just means Randy Orton eventually snaps, punting Jericho, letting Jericho go on tour and getting Orton "suspended" so he can take some time off, too.
I mean Punk and Dragon still kick people in the head every match.

Double Swerve: It turns out Little Jimmy isn't imaginary, but is actually a hologram created by The Patriots. AW is now manipulating the Tag Team Champion to do his bidding.

3) Johnny files a lawsuit, which coupled with Cena's divorce, leaves him penniless

2.) He CAN fire Cena. But let's not forget what the Board thought of the last guy who wanted to fire Cena.
See, I feel like he's already overcome this hurdle. After all, there was a segment a few weeks ago where he personally went out of his way to injure Cena to a great extent. The board did nothing. He called THEIR bluff and won!

They said "Well now we're gonna fire you unless you can actually beat Cena legit somehow" and then proceeded to cover up all the potential loopholes.
But he outsmarted them.
But really they clearly WANTED to fire him anyway, just not before Cena kicked his ass, so really they SHOULD just have sent a memo on Monday firing him.

From: Jakyl25 | #315 But really they clearly WANTED to fire him What are you talking about? They had so much faith in his ability to beat a heavily injured Cena that they added all those stipulations about no interference and Johnny's job being on the line!

God dammit now that I really sit and think about it, Big Johnny as the AnonGM makes more sense than anyone.
No wonder he made such a hard push to unseat Hunter. Why risk his cushy role in middle management where he was out of the way and not bothering anyone unless he already had power and lost it and coveted getting it back.

Would it have mattered? All 3 judges voted yes, and it only took 2 yeses for a contract, so Flair's vote didn't matter. Right?

I actually think Flair was in the right there. A segment like that being scripted is stupid. If you want to hire guys in a scripted fashion don't use judges' panels.
Now whether I'm arguing that the segment shouldn't be scripted or that the segment shouldn't exist is another thing entirely...
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
The segment was dumb because the kid was boring as hell, lost to Robbie E (the lowest level of the impact roster that exists), and displayed NO charisma.
And yet, the way they booked it, everyone knew they were going to sign him.
So now the question is, what would someone have to do to NOT get signed?

I mean, it's one thing to face Kurt Angle and lose, but to face ROBBIE E and lose it's like, why even bother signing this guy? What's he gonna do exactly?

Wait was Silva the guy who lost to Robbie E last week or two weeks ago? I thought you guys were talking about someone else cause that guy's promo was no good <_<

Speaking of developmental territories existing in kayfabe, what's the relationship between FCW and WWE? I know WWE exists in FCW, but it seems like FCW doesn't exist in WWE.
-- Ace Detective in Sir Chris' Police I read your posts like you're a sourpuss because you often come across that way. - LeonhartFour
It would be a neatly seamless transition to just burn through whatever FCW episodes they've still got in the can plus whatever they tape tomorrow night, script some angle about the end and the transition, and then just start the new NXT tapings the week after that.
NXT could then be in FCW's timeslot on Brighthouse Cable but internet-only to the rest of America.

Yeah, Punk/Cena is such a compelling story that it's one of those rivalries they can kind of just stick in their back pocket and pull it out whenever they may need it.

From: Rad Link 5 | #349 Although Punk did say creative can't pit the two against each other anymore since they're the top merchandise sellers. Cena vs. Rock happened.
It's a Hogan vs. Andre scenario in a way. Hogan's on this super-long run with the belt, and Andre is off in his own little sideshow world seemingly unconnected with the title picture, then one day Heenan gets in his ear and every fan around the world drops a brick in their pants.
Obviously this isn't at THAT level but it could be a poor man's version.
