I don't know what LL uses, but it sounds like the collapsible box used by some other sites. I think that's the best situation. It can be used for spoilers if you want, but can also be used for other purposes.

<Spoilers> and you click on that and it expands to show the spoiler.

But you can make what's inside the brackets say whatever you want, too.

Yeah, LL's spoiler tags are better, but I'm glad to finally have any spoiler tags.

The black bar is terrible. Now I have to go through the trouble of highlighting the sentence to read it? Terrible. Definitely would have preferred the LL way. I can't see myself ever using these horrible spoiler tags.
