I wouldn't walk longer than 20 minutes to get to a store, and if I was filling up on groceries, no more than 10 minutes.

I walk 35 minutes to get to work, which is a store.

Does it count? It's in a shopping mall so I occasionally buy stuff from other stores while there!

like, a minute maybe? it's been a long time since I've walked anywhere. chiefly because where I live it's not like there are as many places nearby where you can just walk to them. I used to live in a place that was fairly close to a gas station so I would occasionally walk there. nowadays I just drive anywhere I need to go.

When I was in college, I would walk to stores because everything was in close proximity. Depending on which kind of store, I would be willing to walk anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. (Groceries at the lower end of the spectrum.)

I live in a suburban area now, though, and it's not reasonable to walk anywhere from my location. Well, except to the walking trails, but they don't really go anywhere. My roommate often walks to work, which takes him over an hour. That's about how long it would take for me to get to the nearest actual stores.

The grocery stores I go to most often are about fifteen minutes and twenty five minutes away by foot.

I live in a metropolis though so stores are generally reaaaally close
