From: KCF0107 | #010 I am genuinely surprised at all the "no" responses here You should never be surprised when someone feels differently about something at this point, all things considered.

You misinterpreted what I meant. Of course I know that people have different opinions. I was just surprised that it was split after the first eight responses.
From: TheCodeisBosco | #018 Also, it's hilarious that this thread was posted on a Monday. Nice catch!
As for me...
Yes, I love Garfield, but I know him almost exclusively through the old cartoons. My experience with the comic strip is extremely limited, and I haven't seen any of the live-action movies.
Never got the whole "Garfield is never funny" angle. Now I haven't read any in the last 10 years, but while the humor is subtle sometimes it's there pretty often. Especially since a lot of the same people turn around and praise Calvin and Hobbes which I feel has this problem a lot more often. Calvin and Hobbes often feels more creative/interesting than funny. (and I actually like Calvin and Hobbes, mind you, just saying it lacks funny a lot of the time).
Although really, most Sunday morning comics are bad. There are a ton out there a lot less funny than Garfield or Calvin and Hobbes.
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
No. You have to go out of your way to make Garfield funny. Lasagna Cat and Garfield without Garfield are the only times I lauge at anything Garfield related.

The comics themselves are pretty lame and formulaic, but I like the character. Even if Garfield without Garfield is better, and the Garfield movies are awful.
