(17)The Dark and Crazed Requiem of Purgatory beats (16)Happy Maria! (Vocal), 12-8
As expected, Dreamenddischarger powered past La Divina Tragedia ~Makyoku, which barely dented the juggernaut on its way to a 16-4 victory, In the other match, The Dark and Crazed Requiem of Purgatory proved it was more than just a song with a really long name and finally made it out of round 1 by beating the vocal version of Happy Maria, 12-8.
Match 3:
(8)Victima Propiciatoria
vs (25)Sakutarou's Adventure
Match 4:
(9)HIBUTA (Launch)
vs (24)Kin'iro no Choushou ~Uruwashi no Bansan~
Some considerations to take note of when voting: -Please be familiar with both songs. If you don't remember or haven't heard a song in any match, please listen to it. -Matches will last a minimum of 24 hours, except in the event of blowouts. You can vote until I lock the topic. -Don't post tallies of the score or rally one song over another please. Let's keep this fair. -Write ups aren't required, but I at least enjoy reading them!
On our second day of matches, we have two memorable pieces from Episode 4 battling it out, as well the rocking Hibuta taking on a very haunting arrangement of Golden Sneer, sung by the talented Shikata Akiko. Can Sakutarou's Adventure and Kin'iro no Choushou build upon The Dark and Crazed Requiem of Purgatory's small upset and beat out its stiff competition? Only one way to find out, let's get this day started!
Victima Propiciatoria makes me wanna dance and has like a Spanish feel to it (which is fitting, since Victima Propiciatoria apparently means Scapegoat in Spanish). I really like it, but there's something about the cutesy and innocent Sakutarou's Adventure which decides to get epic several times throughout the piece.
(24)Kin'iro no Choushou ~Uruwashi no Bansan~
I love Hibuta, it's one of the most underrated songs in Episode 4 (in my opinion) and I wish it got to play somewhere else but this arrangement of Golden Sneer is just too amazing. It's haunting, mysterious, jamming, creepy, spooky and just a fine piece of music.
