This topic will chronicle the results of the actual topic. All eliminations, with small write-ups and a few pictures, will be recorded here after each round has terminated. At the end of every fourth round a combination of eliminated Pokes will be marked and tallied.
Feel free to discuss anything Pokemon related!!!
Group 1, Round 1 Swift Award (First saved) Charmander
Iron Man Award (Last Saved) Slakoth
Fainted Snubbull (II)
Despite this Pokémon's fierce looking face, it is very playful and affectionate. It is a popular companion among women for its devotion and loyalty.
Illumise (III)
Despite Illumise being Bug-type, in Generation III, she cannot learn any Bug-type move via level-up, and even via breeding, only Silver Wind can be taught to her.
Silcoon (III)
Silcoon is tied with Metapod, Kakuna, and Cascoon as the weakest evolved Pokémon in the games, by average base stats.
Burmy (IV)
Although Burmy have been confirmed to have feet, they do not have a footprint, likely due to their feet being concealed by their cloak.
Gothita (V)
Gothita is based on a child dressed in the gothic lolita fashion.
Leaving for work. I want to pop this because it has so few posts. Will post results for Round 2 upon return. New round planned to be out today around 630.
This small Pokémon is extremely elastic and can bounce like a ball. It may not be able to stop if it does this. It also smells sweet to calm the emotions of its foes.
Dustox (III)
Dustox is the only Poison-type Pokémon that evolves from a non-Poison-type. Thus, if a poisoned Cascoon evolves into Dustox, it will keep the status ailment.
Wurmple (III)
Wurmple is the only Pokémon whose branched evolutions evolve further.
Happiny (IV)
Happiny is the fifth Pokémon to like round things; the first four being Meowth, Quagsire, Spoink, and Sealeo.
Vanillish (V)
According to Game Freak, Vanillish and its evolutionary relatives were created by James Turner.
Dustox is the only Poison-type Pokémon that evolves from a non-Poison-type. Thus, if a poisoned Cascoon evolves into Dustox, it will keep the status ailment.
Whoa! I never knew that... The Wurmple thing was interesting too. If these funfacts stay as interesting as they've been, this won't be a lame contest after all! Also lol @ the Igglybuff fanart.
While Group 3 does have the most of my favorites so far, a number of them are on the low end of that list, so I don't quite feel like it's as stacked as Group 2.
The stats and descriptions of the eliminated Pokes will get more in depth the further we are in the contest.
I'm slightly disturbed to see Dustox go, but glad Mime Jr. and Regigigas stayed. They always are eliminated first in these contests (shout-out to to Luvdisc too).
Group 3, Round 3 Swift Award (First saved) Dwebble
Iron Man Award (Last Saved) Wormadam
Fainted Remoraid (II)
The Gunfish enemy that appears underwater in Stage 6 of Pulseman bears a resemblance to Remoraid, as they are both combinations of fish and revolver pistols. This may be on purpose due to the fact that Ken Sugimori designed the characters in this game and also designs Pokémon.
Lileep (III)
Lileep is the only Grass-type Pokémon that is purple.
Swalot (III)
Swalot has been compared to a blobfish by many fans, but the popular blobfish photograph is copyright 2003, which is shortly after Generation III games was released, and shows a front view of a heavily damaged specimen. Healthy blobfish bear no resemblance to Gulpin or Swalot.
Whismur (IV)
Whismur's tail resembles an input or output port on an electronic amplifier. This could be a reference to the extremely loud voice Whismur uses when it is frightened.
Bonsly (IV)
Bonsly is tied with Feebas and Shuckle for having the lowest base Special Attack of any Pokémon.
Heatmor (V)
Heatmor and Durant appear to be rivals. Unlike most Pokémon rivalries, Durant is at a severe disadvantage against Heatmor since it has a 4× weakness to Heatmor's type. However, this was probably done to reflect that anteaters eat ants.
For some reason that one stood out in a crowd of really basic pictures for Whismur. He needs a lot more fan art. I usually won't go this route with fan art though, ha.
With its new form being as cool as it is, it's really too bad Landorus went out this early. But I agree with barrel, pretty sure Sunkern has the lowest base stats.
After Loudred has finished shouting, it becomes incapable of hearing anything for a while.
Hippopotas (IV)
Hippopotas is currently the only Pokémon that obtains Slack Off as an Egg move.
Mime Jr. (IV)
In HeartGold and SoulSilver, if the player has a Mime Jr. as their partner in Copycat's room, the Mime Jr. will "mimic" the player when interacted with.
Garbodor (V)
Garbodor, along with its pre-evolution Trubbish are the only pure Poison-type Pokémon found in Generation V.
Trubbish (V)
Trubbish was leaked internationally in the opening for Pokémon: Black & White.
The vowel sounds in Chinchou's English name are reverse of the vowels in its Japanese name, Chōchin
Metang (III)
Although it is said that Metang is made up of two Beldum, there is no visible evidence of this. In the only anime episode to date showing a Beldum evolution, Saved by the Beldum, when Morrison's Beldum evolves into Metang, it "creates" another Beldum and newly developed main body to evolve, instead of fusing with another Beldum. Likewise, if a Metang evolution is shown, it is highly unlikely it would involve two Metang evolving together. This is similar to the games.
Seedot (III)
The only move with set base power that Seedot can learn by level up is Explosion.
Trapinch (III)
Trapinch having a higher base attack stat than its evolved form may be a reference the fact that antlion larvae are more aggressive and predatory than their adult stages.
Kricketune (IV)
Despite its Platinum Pokédex entry, all Kricketune have the same cry.
Group 1, Round 9 Swift Award (First saved) Carracosta
Iron Man Award (Last Saved) Tyrogue
Fainted Baltoy (III)
No other Pokémon have the same combination type as Baltoy and its evolution, Claydol.
Chimecho (III)
Chimecho is the lightest fully-evolved Pokémon at 2.2 lbs (1 kg).
Gulpin (III)
Gulpin's appearance may be based on a single, giant poison gland or even a gallbladder, the green sac-like organ that stores gastric acid. It also shares similarities with some snake species known to swallow their pray whole.
Slakoth (III) (Received ONE Iron Man Award!)
Slakoth's daily diet usually consists of three leaves.
Shelmet (V) (Received ONE Iron Man Award!)
Although Escavalier gains a secondary Steel typing from its armor, Shelmet is a pure Bug-type despite wearing the same armor.
Group 2, Round 10 Swift Award (First saved) Grovyle
Iron Man Award (Last Saved) Ledyba
Fainted Elekid (II)
Elekid's Shiny and normal sprites are reversed in Generation II.
Shelgon (III)
Shelgon has the highest Defense of all non-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon.
Bronzor (IV)
If Bronzor is turned upside-down, it will look exactly the same from the front, meaning its front has rotational symmetry. It also has horizontal and vertical reflective symmetry. Despite being based on a mirror, Bronzor can't learn Mirror Shot or Mirror Coat.
Cherubi (IV)
Cherubi gets its nutrients from a variety of sources. Its smaller head serves as its initial source of food, but being a plant, it also uses photosynthesis, and it is attracted to honey.
Mantyke (IV)
With a catch rate of 25, Mantyke is third only to the Beldum evolutionary family and Volcarona as the most difficult non-legendary to catch. This makes it more difficult to capture than Dialga or Palkia (25 in comparison to 30).

Why did they do this?

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." -Shigeru Miyamoto The more I know about people, the more I like my dog.
I get it for Beldum, since it was originally a gift Pokemon (but you'd think they'd be able to change the catch rate when they, you know, made it a wild Pokemon) and Volcarona, but I don't get why Mantyke would need such a low catch rate.
