How do people remember names of episodes? I just watched through the whole series, and I couldn't remember the name of an episode without a description.
Well, for one thing Trek was for me what cartoons were for most of Board 8, and I always saw the episode titles when the hour began because back then dramas usually wrote them down for the audience at the start.

Honorable mention to TNG's "The Gambit" duology. It's surprisingly enjoyable for the most part, and gets a really bad rap sometimes.

The Measure of a Man was one of few episodes that probably could have benefited by being even longer than the normal episode.

I watched through DS9 like 8 months ago, its been a long time since I've really done the same with TNG to any level.

Don't know why.

Well, we disagree on DS9's seventh season as documented in that other topic, or I'd say DS9 is easily the far more rewarding of the two watches. It is for me, at least! TNG just isn't arc-based to much extent, which is great for what it's accomplishing but when you have to sit through a bad ep, you don't even have the prospect of it being relevant again later in some neat way.

DS9's seventh season felt to sputter out of control in the middle with many consecutive fluff episodes while they figured out what to do, then felt both rushed and uneven when they finally got back to storyline.

Having to replace Dax for the one season due to the actress gave Ezri too much focus to try to make a character out of her, and what they did to Garak was terrible. He's so meek in 7 compared to the others.

I really don't agree that it's rushed! Would I have enjoyed 26 episodes of nonstop uber-arc? Hell yeah, probably! But man, eleven or twelve hours of it, by the standards of the day, and indeed Trek otherwise? Superb.

The Ezri focus was kind of rough, I agree, but I like Nicole de Boer's performance enough that it's OK by me. And I really like Garak toward the end, during the you-know-what in the finale!

Did you watch the third and fourth seasons? The cast never got any better (which is admittedly a huge deal, yeah) but the storylines themselves really increased in quality exponentially, oddly enough.

Also, I'm totally waiting to post those lists until tomorrow. I forgot how much of a colossal undertaking it will be sifting through the dren of Voyager.
