I know it's obvious. It's just I don't feel right making gifs supporting the dad and stuff when there is still a little girl out there who's life has been destroyed. This isn't a happy story.
I don't really think her life has been "destroyed" by this. She'll probably be a bit shaken about it for a year or two, but... she's 4. How many memories (bad OR good) do YOU have from when you were four?

In fairness, I've never been molested.
And forgive me, Liquid, but you strike me as the type of guy who would support hunting pedophiles for sport, so I shouldn't have called you savage. He'll probably charged with manslaughter at worst, as it should be.

This post makes me sick. Rape isn't something that can just be shaken off, especially at a young age.
Watch this. Beth Thomas, raped as an infant by her father. She suffers from reactive attachment disorder, which has pretty much turned her into an emotionless psychopath.

Well, I stand corrected I suppose. That seems to be an extreme case though. Either way I won't press it as I'm about to go to sleep.

It actually can be though. I'm not saying it's common or that it should be taken lightly or whatever else you want to put in my mouth, but there are people out there who have been able to recover and live great lives after the fact. Not everyone remains broken for the rest of their lives.
But I'm definitely with baubeta on this. There isn't really much to celebrate here.. I mean it happened. He didn't find out that this guy was a creep and destroy him before he could commit the act. He was already doing it, and in all likelihood it wasn't the first time. The fact that he's dead now doesn't really make it any better than if he was caught and locked up.
The thing that will save the dad is this too place inside his own house (on his property). He was just defending his family from an attacker which of whom was caught in the act. This will go down as a justifiable homicide like that Oklahoma lady who shot the dude while she was on the phone with 911 as that guy just stepped in the door. He didn't even lay a hand on the woman.
On that note: this man is awesome and SHOULD get a medal for "Badass Dad of the Year"
I don't see what the big deal with this guy being charged with manslaughter is. He should be fine if the facts are what he says, but they have to make sure the guy really was assaulting the girl. The guy is dead, they can't just take the dad's word for it and not investigate at all. There's probably also some rule about how long the guy was being beaten before he died, they have to make sure the guy was still protecting his daughter and not stomping an unconscious man's face for 20 minutes. But then again this is Texas so maybe not!

I did, I don't agree that charging him with a crime is appropriate, he did exactly what I would expect any decent human being to do. child molestation is completely unforgiveable, people who engage in it should be killed and the people who kill them should be treated as heroes. we're not talking about aimless bloodlust here, this guy didn't go out looking to kill someone, his daughter was being molested, you really expect him to just calm down and handle that diplomatically? holy **** you guys are even farther gone than I thought.
You have the reading comprehension of a monkey. What Wang said is that he should be charged with manslaughter and not murder. As in, 'this is filed as manslaughter, grand jury, do you believe he should be convicted?'. Take two seconds to read instead of parading your stupidity around.
On a happier note, that dad's a hero. Good work keeping his little girl safe.
I never said he shouldn't be charged with murder, I said he shouldn't be charged with a crime, who is it that does not know how to read?
I don't buy that what he did was "the right thing" or "defense," but he should walk anyway due to temporary insanity. If his story is true, at least. Something like that happens to your daughter, there's no way most people can control themselves.

shake wanted people killed for the mere attraction, I can accept that some people are born that way and can't help it, but yeah, if you actually act on it and go and destroy children I really don't care what happens to you

Father should get 0 punishment for this. He was 100% in his right to kill that worthless person.

Thinking Luigi and WAAAA > Pokemon Trainers was dumb, and Pokemon rocks. In other news, Valve is a pretty f***ing terrible company, let's be honest.
From: Forceful_Dragon | #071 Out of curiosity, how would everyone feel if a relative of theirs was killed after being caught in such an act? I'd be glad, because I would feel a lot less shame than if they let him live.
Also, wtf Gen

First off, if you use monkey in an insult, it is about as offensive as calling a thin man fat.
Secondly you know you're just proving Liquid right. <_<
And yes he is one.

From what information we have, the father is justified, not in intentionally killing the criminal, but in beating him up and killing him on accident which is probably what happened.
But people shouldn't be so quick to accept a story.
How do we know for sure he was a molester? Is it out of the question that the father could have come home drunk, misunderstood the situation and killed an innocent man? Just saying people shouldn't be so quick to turn this man into a hero.
Also, even if the story is legit, he killed a man with his bare hands in front of his daughter. I don't think that's very considerate.
