Is this series really that popular? I haven't even seen the third one, and the only reason I saw the second one was because it was an in-flight movie. Even the first one was just barely above average.

Here in the States, Ice Age has always been a middle-tier animated franchise, as far as popularity goes. Even Despicable Me is more popular.

But for some reason, overseas audiences go completely berserk for it. In terms of international BO gross, Ice Age 3 topped every Pixar movie except Toy Story 3, and every Dreamworks flick except Shrek 2.

Pretty sad when dinosaurs aren't enough to get me interested in seeing a movie. The first one was ok, but nothing special. Never saw the others.

I loved the original Ice Age as a kid, but I never had any interest in the sequels - it wasn't a movie that needed them, y'know?

Monsters Inc 2 though, that's gonna be the s***.
