Had a lighter go through washer and dryer by accident (must've left it in a pocket). It was bouncing around in the the dryer for an hour. Just wondering how likely it is that this would cause a fire, because I'm a little surprised (but really glad obviously) that it didn't.

I've done that many times before and never had any problems. I'm sure there's at least a small chance it could cause a fire, though.
