I'm literally looking for anything to pay the bills while I wait for grad school to start. Tried canvassing for a non-profit for one day. Wanted to kill myself and quit. I would rather not pay rent then do that s***, and I've loaded cargo planes at 4am in 11 degree weather. CanavssIng the worst.

Canvassing basically means going door to door trying to sell stuff, offer a service, etc.

Tried it myself a couple summers ago and lasted about two weeks as well.

Canvassing is pretty miserable, but if you are good you can make a ton of cash.

I knew a guy who made around 80k every summer selling security systems.

tried raising money for environmental/gay rights concerns.

i would have lasted at the environmental one but the hours were from 2-10 M-F. The gay rights one was asking people in the street for money - that was just draining.

I would love to work with some of those organizations/campaigns, but all they offer is canvassing and I have trouble calling businesses on the phone to ask them things, much less going door to door and asking for s***. I'd literally die
