Finished it again tonight for the first time in over a year. Loved the puzzles, loved the characters, loved the stories. I couldn't resist and had to satisfy my appetite with a couple of Virtue's Last Reward spoilers (Nothing major by the looks of it, and then again I'm not even sure how accurate or legit they are). Game's going to be awesome, I can't wait. Chunsoft's already thinking about making a 3rd title in the Zero Escape series.

liked the stories. liked the characters. was fine with most of the puzzles, but the ones in the true ending, including and especially that last one, are 'what the goddamn hell is this doing here' to me. we go from creative puzzles that involve room hunting to just.... basic, real life, puzzles.

While initially I didn't find Sudoku to be a great final puzzle "I MUST COMPLETE THIS SUNDAY PAPER SUDOKU PUZZLE OR ELSE EVERYONE DIES!", when you think about it must make sense. 9 rows, 9 columns, 9 boxes. I guess that's what they were going for

Final puzzle was amazing. It wasn't hard or tricky or anything, which worked so well because they wanted to hammer in the plot points and the emotional stuff, so they didn't want the player to be too distracted by a puzzle. And it was just a great visual pun in so many ways like Mik described.
