My thinking is no. I've been sitting at this table my computer is set up in a very weird way, I have my chair turned completely left so I can put my feet up on a another chair and talk to my brother who is also in that direction, with my head completely turned right to look at the screen. This has been a bit strainful on my neck but overall I've found it to be rather comfortable.
So yeah, since the lump is on the right side of the back of my neck (basically right where my neck turns to view the screen) I figure it's from all the strain from doing that a lot for a few weeks. I figure it's some kind of knot or something?
You guys are all doctors and **** right, what should I do about it.

Possibly something like this. I had one of these, though it was directly on the side of my neck instead of in the back. In my case, didn't have to do anything at all even though it'd been swollen most of my childhood and still is just a bit bigger if I turn my neck.
Might want to get it checked out if you're either worried, sick along with it, or it lasts for more than 2 weeks.

Heh, I went to the doctor and it actually is a swollen lymph node.
She was like, soo... do you have headache, fever, earache or something? Normally this happens when you have an infection, it's another symptom. She was utterly confused that besides this I'm completely fine.
Told me to come back if I do get sick soon so I can get some anti biotics.
You've always had it?
I find it rather annoying. Not painful, but very uncomfortable. I hope it goes away =O

Yeah, I had it when I was a kid. Apparently it was from getting an infection as a kid and it just overreacted and stayed that way. Was way swollen, but only visible if I bent my neck towards the side that didn't have it. Then it'd look like I had a golfball in there or something.
Doctors took a look at it, said they'd remove it in a month if it wasn't smaller, and somehow it reduced itself to like half it's size by then. So now it's barely even there even if I twist my neck out, and doesn't bother me at all.
