Given the 'very rich' response, as well as the amount of items present on Natwaf, I wouldn't bank on more than 1k per person (also because taking an amount larger than that overwhelmingly skews any future auction events in his favor which would greatly damage what little game balance exists).

I must admit though, the idea of forming an assassination team just to remove him from the competition at this stage is now tempting.

When you initially said pay 2000 you didn't have enough so I didn't do it. Probably should have made it clear. You can change your gamble in the next couple minutes if you don't want to risk that money because of that

No, I think I'm right here, Plum. I specifically remember choosing &2000 to pay for the badge because I won a certain amount of money from the battles at Nugget Bridge and using those winnings (I think it was &1500) plus a little more to pay for some of the badge so I could have a little spending money the next day.

Plus on the spread sheet it says I have &2200 under both the Nuggest Bridge and Route 5 section so regardless I should have paid the &2000 for the badge right?

I hate to say it, but I highly recommend against that on a different reason than the loss. At this point people are responding directly out of being upset, doing so because they felt betrayed by the host, charging them more for doing so is tantamount to laughing at them for actually trusting the host which could very well lead to players leaving.

Fair's fair, people could read it, but not being able to trust the short version of text and having to read a long form answer is a crap way to treat people enjoying the game.

This is a terrible idea because it sets a precedent that he can change the rules of the game in the middle after a day has already happened. He had to be expected backlash from the trick already. Anything game admin related has to be in the opening posts except for fixes from previous days and answers to questions.

Right. I had 2200 going into Nugget Bridge as the spreadsheet says. I won &1000 from winning 8 of the 10 battles at Nugget Bridge to bring me up to &3200. At Route 5 I pay &2000 for the badge and work that day. &3200-&2000+&100 = &1300 which is exactly the amount I had at Vermillion city as the spreadsheet says. So you took my &2000 and never made a note of it, it seems.

I'm heading to bed right now but if I'm in the right, my original actions stand and I will play the gamble game.
