Pretty fun flick, I enjoyed it. The way the powers were handled and the action was fun, the slapstick comedy of him breaking everything was funny, and the drama/romance beats were decent.
Still like the Spidey 2 the best, but this was good.
And ha yeah that mid-credits scene was quite random and wacky.

Wait, he bought the web-fluid? I took it that he researched it online and then stole/took it from OsCorp. Didn't they show them mass-producing it in that lab where he found the spiders? He's there quite a lot, don't see why he couldn't just nab a box or two.
Also, I said before seeing the movie and I'll still say it afterwards, J.K. Simmons is such a perfect J. Jonah Jameson, that they're going to have a hard time re-casting him. Which is, I think, the reason he wasn't in this one.

I'll agree with you about that promise line. I thought it would have made much more sense for Gwen to think that Peter was guilty because he let her dad get killed and was distancing himself. Dunno how she didn't jump to that conclusion.
The only other problem I had was, it would have been better if they'd padded it out with a few more scenes of Spider-Man actually saving people after he figured out he liked doing it. It just seemed like after saving the kid, for the rest of the film he was focused entirely on fighting Lizard and nothing else.

I thought Spidey's fighting was a lot cooler and I really like Andrew Garfield as Peter/Spider-man.
But there were just so many things about this movie that keep me from really liking it. First is the terrible pacing; I don't know exactly how to describe it, but the movie doesn't really feel coherent. I mean, it's easy enough to follow what's going on, but the structure of the film feels kind of flimsy. Writing was also kind of terrible at times.
"He made you promise, didn't he? To leave me alone so I would be safe."
The drama between Peter and Gwen was done pretty well, but what a terrible line. Complete lack of subtlety and it actually made me say "what" out loud because of how bad it was. The entire thing with the cranes was also a bit too cheesy to swallow, but whatever.
Also, how the hell are these high school students so damn smart?

I was under the impression that he stole it too. And there's some things online backing up the idea.

There's always hope for better things in life. But you can't let anything, friend, lover, God himself, be your hope. You have to be your own hope.
