I need to hit up the mall later today and I noticed there are a ton of movies playing in theaters that I wouldn't mind seeing. There are 5 movies that I'm really interested in, so I'd appreciate it if any of you that have seen them can tell me what's good.
In order of what I'm most excited about:
Snow White and the Huntsman Prometheus Savages The Amazing Spider-Man Ted
Snow White and Spider-Man are both movies carried by their lead actors. The stories in each are problematic, but still fun. Perfect summer movies. Prometheus... might leave you disappointed. The 3D in it is great, but you should probably wait to watch it at home on Blu-Ray, when you'd have a better chance to properly evaluate it. Not sure about the other two.
I'd say Snow White. Spider-Man is going to have obnoxious crowds because it's the opening week and a Friday and it's summer, while Snow White has been out for a while.

**MINOR SPOILERS FOR SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN**
Ended up watching Snow White... it wasn't very good. Granted, it wasn't exactly bad either. It wasn't really what I was expecting. I thought it would be much more based in realism, but it ended up being quite fantastical with some pretty cool effects. I know this wil be the unpopular opinion, but I feel like the movie should have been 20-30 minutes longer. They had some incredibly cool settings like the dark forest and the fairy sanctuary and I felt like they could have ended up being really quite iconic if they had spent more time in those places.
Either way two hours with Kristen Stewart is always well spent, I was just hoping that this would be a movie that I would end up wanting to buy on Blu-Ray later as I heard that it was visually impressive... but it just wasn't captivating enough. I don't think I'd ever watch it again.
