These people barely get past the age of 30 because of the fact that by not feeling pain, they can get seriously injured and either 1. not realize it, or 2. lack the reaction to save themselves.

Think of every time you've touched something hot and immediately pulled your hand away without even thinking.

Now imagine not pulling your hand away from the surface that is scalding your skin off

Ok, I watched the first 30 seconds before I posted. Rewatched it and aside from the mom slapping her and kids being dicks it's about what I expected. Like I said it's really rare, but she's not the only person that it's ever happened to. Maybe I'm just desensitized.

One case I heard about was a young girl who had gouged out her own eyes as a toddler and bitten off her tongue.

They have an advantage in which they don't need to use painkillers, ever. So no having to use painkillers after surgery.
