also while the translation isn't accurate, this is absolutely the right way to dub this show. it was incredibly dirty and filthy for us, so just imagine how bad it was for them.

loved this show though. "bad" animation and all, it was great and i think i'm gonna absolutely love this dubbed. hells yes funimation.

definitely yeah. i mean the content isn't WRONG like it is in ghost stories, but it's not a word for word dub and there's some obvious ad libbing going on to give it the same feel.

DVD release for $40 -> BD release for $50-60 in 2 months after the success.

is my assumption. i DO love the fact that they're not going the one by one release though and just giving us a full set in one. i approve of this action. i mean i've even warmed up to NIS localizations (Katanagatari is really, really nicely done) despite their higher prices.

well, you can compare the original to the translation. deliver in original and the mean points were far better subbed, but the toilet humor's far better in the dub. i mean the treatment Chuck got didn't quite match up with the original (goes from pretty happy playing to just cursing him out, Stocking's pummeling is far better subbed), but hey.

Funimation has been like, unusually god mode lately. I mean, they've always been great, but they've REALLY been on the ball pretty much since they did Shin-Chan. I think that show taught them how to have fun with their dubs. >_>
